The Brisbane river sweeps in and out of the city and taking a river cruise is an amazing way to enjoy the sights of the city. There are various river cruises available such as the Kookaburra River Queens, River City cruises and more. Pick one according to your budget and allow yourself to be swept away with the soft melody of the river.
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary:
If you want to see one of Australia's most famous animals in a natural habitat, head to this sanctuary and enjoy some quality time with the Koalas there.
Roam around the City Botanic Gardens:
Brisbane's City Botanic Gardens are a beautiful place for a daytime picnic. You can take guided 1 hour walks through the gardens or you can explore the gardens on your own at leisure. Some attractions include Bamboo Grove, Weeping Fig Avenue and various ornamental ponds scattered around the gardens.
Enjoy a Picnic at Kangaroo Point:
The view that Kangaroo point offers is simple phenomenal and the location is ideal for a family picnic. On top of the point, you can see amazing sights of Brisbane City and the river.
Watch Fashion come alive at James Street:
A hot spot for all fashion lovers, James Street has an array of fashion stores and retailers, making it one of the most fashionable streets of Brisbane. Locals gather at one of the numerous cafes littered around for a glass of wine and scrumptious meals. Join them and enjoy the finest Brisbane has to offer!
Dine by the river at Eagle Street Pier:
An iconic waterfront precint, the Eagle Street Pier offers incredible views of the Brisbane river and world-class restaurants such as the Bavarian Bier Cafe, Blackbird Bar & Grill, Riverbar Kitchen, Jellyfish and Pony Dining. The pier is touted as one of Brisbane's favorite entertainment destinations and is definitely worth the visit.
